Where are all of my ballers at? Where my shot callers at? Sure, Breakers Korean BBQ knows how to BREAK your wallet, but that doesn't take away from the exceptional meats and extraordinary service you'll receive. The décor is astonishing. I walked in on a Tuesday evening and mistook the ornamentation for a high end nightclub in Manhattan's Midtown. Very modern. Very eclectic, but tastefully done. Huge eatery with plenty of seating, tucked away in a small Carrolton shopping center. Dinner reservations are so 2013 at this place. We had the marinated shortrib and beef bulgogi. Both fantastic options and meshed perfectly with the fresh, authentic Korean sides we received. Tender, juicy pieces of Texas beef dance across the grill as you sit patiently--careful not to allow your drool to hit the table. (more…)
I came to Breakers to get my BBQ fix after a long day at work. I had seen it on Yelp and was excited to try the new Korean place in the area. The following is my experience in detail: I arrived later in the evening but was glad to find that my server Steve was still extremely energetic and friendly. He did not hesitate to explain to me the menu and his personal recommendations in detail. When the food arrived he guided us through each side. We ordered the spicy chicken which came out extremely tender and the right amount of spice. We also ordered the bulgogi (my standard order) and I found it to be delicious! Not too much fat. We finished with the desserts and found the entire meal to be an excellent experience! Check it out if you get a chance.
The absolute best Korean food is found here. This place is a nice, little undiscovered gem. There are so many all-you-can-eat places out there, but I always end up coming back here since the meat is extremely tender and fresh. This is my favorite Korean restaurant because the quality and flavor of the meat surpasses that of any other Korean restaurant. I highly recommend marinated short ribs. I have also eaten the choice and prime meat and both are also very good. The pork belly is also very good here. I personally recommend eating from selection of meat instead of the all you can eat menu. Chris was my server, and he is very attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Would recommend him, but you can't go wrong here because all our servers have been very nice. Great food and great service.
