If I could be promised a return to this awesomeness of a restaurant, I would gladly make this a repeating record. The vibe is trendy and plush. This isn’t your typical hot, loud, and grill smell establishment. Rather, you enter a decidedly cool and quiet restaurant- the first time I had to really look for the grill to make sure we were at Korean Bbq.
Our first visit with friends we had an order of the specialty short ribs beef, pork belly, and Chilean sea bass. We were overwhelmed with food. We learned during this visit that if one person wants all you can eat, we everyone must order. We suggest twisting arms bc it is worth it. However, we still were able to sample and enjoy what everyone ordered. There is plenty of ban chan side dishes and if you’re low you can ask for more and it is readily brought out. Each server is different in style and personality.
Our second visit was our anniversary so we went all out and did all you can eat. Amazing!!! Server was attentive and we really enjoyed the variety and amount of food. Pace yourself and pay attention to what you love - your second round you will be full so enjoy what you love. Personally, I love the pork belly, bulgogi, and squid. I was underwhelmed with the chicken - but only bc all the other options are so good! And bc I wanted room for the pork belly! Our server allowed us more independence with the grill so a nice Romantic evening - at the end of the meal, the owner came by and brought us dessert with Happy Anniversary on it. Nice touch.
Our third visit was again with friends and we twisted arms for all you can eat. Our server this time was with us full time which wasn’t sure I would like but was sold. He did a specialty grill of kimchi and cabbage and bean sprout. Yum! AND brought us a dish of poached egg to help cleanse our pallette bw dishes. I love it bc they brought me a big plate of kimchi and radish wraps - talk about customer service.
Since it is a downdraft grill you don’t get hot nor leave smelling like the grill. Perfect for groups. We also recommend going with full Korean experience and order the Korean wine- one is filtered and the other is unfiltered. One is more carbonated and served in a traditional bowl and the other is more of a wine and served in tiny glasses. I also recommend getting a glass of barley water/tea. It is served warm and balances the grilled food.
We’ll keep going back for more!!
